Tim Bernardes

After his 2020 participation to our Stay Away Show’s series, we continued exchanging spontaneously with Tim Bernardes. His second album 'Mi Coisas Invisiveis' got released last June and we wanted to share Tim’s generous and intimate songwriting with you once more. For this Take Away Show, it felt natural to film where this luminous soul’s heart belongs, in the streets of São Paulo. 'Velha amiga' is a touching song about friendship and how time can affect our relationships. 'Mande notícias, velha amiga' ('Send me news, old friend'): a declaration as sweet as this one can’t go unanswered!

'These flower tents near the iconic São Paulo avenue Avenida Paulista always caught my attention. They are at the same time beautiful and hectic, have our crazy city spirit, full of life yet very chaotic and unplanned. It was fun and crazy to record there, it's a super busy avenue, trying to avoid being hit by a car, stay on the super tight sidewalk and skip all the holes and flowers on the ground.
